We have been planting.

In preparation for the summer we have begun to sow seeds and bulbs. We had lots of giggles whilst digging around in the soil! Let’s hope we have some sunshine to help the seeds to grow!

Historical Centre trip

We had a fantastic time at the Historical Centre. We walked there in the glorious sunshine. When we arrived we were delighted to make cars using K-NEX and then we raced them using a motor. It was great fun!

“We played games on the iPAD,” said Brooke.
“We drew on the computer,” said Jesse.
“We played snap on the board,” said Amy Butler.

We have had great fun using Ipads, the computer, the interactive whiteboard and the laptops.

Welcome to Greece

Over the last 2 weeks we have been looking at Greece. The way they live, their culture, history and myths. We had a fabulous time trying traditional Greek dancing and smashing (tearing) plates. Afterwards we tried Greek food, we had pitta bread, koftas, olives, feta cheese, houmous, tzitzki dip and carrots, tomatoes. cucumber and pepper to dip with. Look at us having fun in our photos.

Festive Fun

We had a fabulous time in our Christmas Party with Mrs Dyas's class and Mrs Sheppeard's class playing games and dancing. We then went to refuel ourselves with lovely party food and use all of our energy afterwards playing more games in the middle block hall. Take a look at us all having lots of Christmas fun in our photos.

Royal Letters

As part of our R.E. week the children in Year One learnt all about Baptisms and the christening of Prince George. As part of our topic, we sent congratulation cards to Prince George and his family to celebrate his birth and his Christening. We went on a walk to the post box to post our letters to Buckingham Palace. We were astounded when every child received a sealed envelope from Buckingham Palace with a picture of the royal baby to thank us for the kind cards we had created. Miss Davies and Mrs Sheppeard were also very excited to receive thank you letters.

PC Rob Thomas

On Thursday 28th November, the children in Miss Davies’s class were lucky enough to have a special visit from PC Rob Thomas. The children loved learning all about the work of the police and how they keep us safe.
